CLAF is an inter-governmental organization established in 1962 under the auspices of UNESCO, for promoting the development of physics in Latin-America. CLAF is headquartered at the Brazilian Center for
Physics Research (CBPF) and is formally recognized by 16countries in the continent. It will thus act as the regional counterpart and the institutional focal point for all the institutions involved
in the network, functioning as the leading Latin-American partner of the IRN.
IN2P3 and INSU are CNRS institutes directly involved in all experiments around which the network will be built, serving as the leading CNRS partners for the network. Through the expertise of its various laboratories, they will
have a critical role in all projects and actions, co-designing and co-leading the network.
